  Yes  these are the daughters of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys . And yes the rest
of the Beach Boys would be related to them. So ,now do you wonder were the girls learned how to write great songs and to make great harmony in their songs.

     The girls started off with their first album and their childhood friend Chynna Phillips
( Daughter of  John and Michelle Phillips of the rock group-The Mamas And The Papas,  
who also made great harmony in such hits as Monday, Monday, and California Dreamin)
Their very first single shot to the #1 on Billboard Charts ,the song of course was "Hold On"
This album had many hit singles and many other great songs such as "Release Me" ,
, "Impulsive" , Over And Over"  , "A Reason To Believe" and the "Dream Is Still Alive" .

This album differently established the girls as a major musical force in today's music scene.

The groups second album was title--"Shadows and Light" which also contained some great singles such as "Flesh and Blood" and "Give it Up"  This album was a great musically album but it also had a lot of private goals for Wendy and Carnie. One was the song "Flesh And Blood "which was about their relationship with their father Brian . The girls did not have a relationship with their father for years and this song begs their daddy to come back to them and he did !!  There is also a song on this album for their Grandma Audrey (Mommy of the Beach Boys)    This would be the last album which their friend Chynna would appear on to date until the girls made a album in 2006 together again and we can only hope they will get together again!!

  Their third album would be a Christmas album which includes many great classics and also their Christmas song which is already becoming a classic itself , "Hey Santa"   done with some help from their Uncle Carl.    This album also includes the Beach Boy version of  "I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" which was to be released on the Boys never released second Christmas album. The song has all the children of the Wilson's singing, with the Beach Boys and is a really cute song! This is a different album for your Christmas collection.

At this point Carnie had her own tv show on ABC but of course she came back into the music business because that's where a Wilson belongs .    Carnie has also appeared in the ABC mini series THE 60's . The Next album which they did is called THE WILSONS and had a great single on it called "Monday Without You" written by Carole King. Dad also helped with this album with songs such as "Til I Die"and "Everything I Need" plus with some backing vocals.

The back cover shot is one which is truly beautiful and we are all happy to see!!

Now available on cd is the best of Wilson Phillips which include such great songs as :Hold On , Give It Up, Eyes Like Twins ,The Dream is Still Alive, You're In Love, Release Me, Impulsive , You Won't See Me Cry, This Doesn't Have To Be Love ,and my favorite and most moving song Flesh & Blood

The Girls are currently singing with Al Jardine from the original Beach Boys, in the group , Beach Boys ,Family and Friends.  This group may record an album shortly.

It Has been rumored that Al Jardine's Freinds and Family group will release a cd on the web sometime this year!! Go to the California Saga site in the BB webring.

The Girls were on Al Jardine's album Live in Las Vegas album!!

She also had a book on this subject.

Chynna was the daughter of Michelle and John Phillips of the Mama And Papas rock group of the 60's  . Mackenzie Phillips is her older sister.   Owen also is friends with the girls and was almost in the group and she is the daughter of Mama Cass Elliot.  The Beach Boys and The Mamas and Papas
started Monterey Pop Festival. Also later in their career John Phillips was one of the writers on the later Beach Boys hit Kokomo.

This new album was released on May 25, 2004 !!! The girls re-did many of the southern California songs of the past which their parents and others created !!   Songs such as Monday Monday, In My Room , Dance Dance Dance and others are included on this album!!
