WABC 77 RADIO AM
This was the major radio station in New York throughout the 60's and 70's . At this time period all major radio stations were AM radio . It was not until the mid 70's when AM became more pop orrented that FM started taking over but at this time FM was more for hard rock and not commerical. The one thing we can learn from this website is the many many songs which are still famous today which were all on the charts together!! During this time period almost everyone knew the entire top twenty songs. Radio 77 AM was a major factor in the 60's radio scene with many major DJ's as you can see from above. This is from their annual top 100 charts!
