Elton John got his first hit in 1970 from his first album name Elton John and has not stopped yet with one hit after the other.Elton was born with the name Reginald Dwight. He got together with Bernie Taupin after being rejected for a audition and they been together ever since that point. Elton being a composer and Bernie being a lyricist the two worked out together great.

In his early years on stage he was like Jerry Lee Lewis dressed like Liberace. His early outfits generated more talk then his super hits!  Elton pushed out hit after after hit from 1970 through 1976 and at this point he decided to slow down. In 1979 Elton was the first performer to tour the Soviet Union . Elton was also made a Knight by the British goverment  and is now called Sir Elton John. Also due to his freindship with Prince Dianna he changed the words to his previous hit song Candle in the Wind which resulted in one of the altime largest hit singles in music history. recently Elton has developed a close relationship with Disney and has written a few top hit songs for them.
